Coalition Calls on Congress to Provide Funding to State DOTs in next COVID bill

TAKE ACTION: Tell your Senators and Representatives to Preserve Transportation Construction Projects and Jobs

On July 21, AGC, along with a coalition of transportation stakeholders, called on Congressional leaders to include federal funding for state departments of transportation (DOTs) in the next COVID-19 relief package. With millions of Americans following “stay-at-home” orders, state DOTs are still facing severe losses in revenues, including dedicated user fee revenues on which state transportation programs heavily rely. As a result, the ability of state DOTs to carry out their core functions, including capital construction programs, has been threatened, with many cancelling or delaying upcoming projects.
