AGC and OSHA kick off the 9^th annual Construction Safety Week, an industry-wide initiative to bring awareness to the importance of safety on construction sites.

The construction industry kicked off its 9^th annual Construction Safety Week, an industry-wide initiative to bring awareness to the importance of safety on construction sites. This year’s theme is “Strong Voices, Safe Choices,” focused on strong teams who work safely. When there’s trust, respect, and communication, everyone can own and act on safety.

AGC of America’s CEO, Stephen E. Sandherr, delivered remarks at a kickoff event in partnership with Clark Construction Group and the U.S. Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), where more than 300 craft workers were in attendance. “Even though firms focus on safety year-round, having a week dedicated to reinforcing jobsite safety is invaluable,” Sandherr said. “This is a great opportunity for every member firm to get involved and reinforce key safety messages with their teams.”
