AGC PAC Endorses David McKinley for the U.S. House of Representatives

The Associated General Contractors of America Political Action Committee, also known as the AGC PAC, announced today that it has endorsed David McKinley for the United States House of Representatives. AGC PAC officials said they are supporting the McKinley campaign because of his strong commitment to the construction industry in West Virginia.

“David McKinley is a serious leader who delivers for his constituents and state. He has supported tax reforms that allow West Virginia’s workers to keep more of their hard-earned money, fought unreasonable regulations that burden small businesses, and helped deliver nearly three and a half billion dollars to improve the state’s roads, bridges and drinking water,” said Stephen E. Sandherr, Treasurer of AGC PAC. “Mr. McKinley has the experience and track record – in business and in Congress - to stand up and fight for what is right when it comes to protecting our economy, our workers, and our country.”

In addition to endorsing David McKinley, AGC PAC has contributed the maximum amount of $10,000 to his campaign. AGC PAC is also encouraging the association’s members in West Virginia’s 2nd Congressional District to help turn out the construction vote in support of his candidacy in the primary election on May 10, 2022.

“As a 7th generation West Virginian and successful employer, David McKinley can be counted on to advocate for our state’s interests and needs in Congress, and to take the hard votes that improve the quality of life for West Virginians” added Mike Clowser, Executive Director of the Contractors Association of West Virginia, the association’s West Virginia chapter. “Thanks to his vote on the bipartisan infrastructure bill, our state will have better infrastructure and more jobs without the kind of red tape that typically come with big Washington bills."

AGC is the association for the commercial construction industry, with over 450 member companies in its West Virginia chapter, representing general and specialty contractors, service providers, and suppliers. This endorsement comes from AGC PAC, the national association’s political action committee.
