The Federal Elections Commission finally posted the year-end 2021 campaign financial disclosure numbers, and the Daily Kos Elections site statistical team has already compiled the totals for both the House and Senate.

New York Rep. John Katko* (R-Syracuse) announced last Friday that he will not seek a fifth term later this year creating a 47th open seat for the 2022 US House elections.

In a video to his supporters and beginning with the phrase “it's been an incredible journey since my first campaign in 2006 until now…,” Kentucky US Representative John Yarmuth (D-Louisville), the chairman of the House Budget Committee, announced earlier this week that he will not seek a 9th term in Congress next year.
