USCIS Announces Alternative Procedure for Completion of Form I-9 – Permanent Virtual Verification
On July 21, the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) announced a final rule that allows employers an alternative procedure to inspect Form I-9 documentation virtually as opposed to performing a physical verification, which was previously required for all new hires until the COVID-19 pandemic necessitated an exception in March 2020.
