AGC PAC Endorses Dean Heller for U.S. Senate

Posted on Latest News by AGC of America · November 01, 2018 1:11 PM

The Associated General Contractors of America Political Action Committee, also known as the AGC PAC, announced today that it has endorsed Dean Heller for the United States Senate. AGC PAC officials said they are supporting the senator’s reelection because of his strong pro-construction record.
“Dean Heller has distinguished himself as a serious leader with a proven track record of fighting unreasonable regulations, supporting much-needed tax reforms, and pursuing common-sense immigration policies,” said Stephen E. Sandherr, the association’s chief executive officer. “The senator has proven that he will stand up and fight for what is right when it comes to protecting our economy, our workers and our country.”
In addition to endorsing Senator Heller, AGC PAC has contributed the maximum amount of $10,000 to his Senate campaign. AGC PAC is also encouraging the association’s members in Nevada to help turn out the construction vote in support of the senator on November 6th in the general election.
“He is keenly aware of our state’s unique needs and has proven himself to be a tireless advocate for the construction industry and the business community. Dean’s support of tax reform and his position on the powerful Senate Committee on Finance are meaningful reasons to ensure he is returned to the Senate,” said Craig Madole, chief executive officer of the Nevada Chapter AGC. “Dean Heller is one of our industry’s strongest allies here in Nevada and in the Senate. It’s no surprise he earned a 100 percent score from AGC on key construction votes this Congress,” added Sean Stewart, chief executive officer of the Nevada Contractors Association.
AGC is the leading association for the construction industry, with hundreds of member companies in its two Nevada chapters, representing general and specialty contractors, service providers, and suppliers. This endorsement comes from AGC PAC, the national association’s political action committee.

AGC PAC Endorses Martha McSally for US Senate

Posted on Latest News by Al G · August 14, 2018 9:43 AM

The Associated General Contractors of America Political Action Committee (AGC PAC) Endorses Martha McSally for the U.S. Senate.
The Associated General Contractors of America Political Action Committee, also known as the AGC PAC, announced today that it has endorsed Martha McSally for the United States Senate. AGC PAC officials said they are supporting the representative’s campaign because of her strong pro-construction record.

“Martha McSally has distinguished herself as serious leader with a proven track record of fighting unreasonable regulations, supporting much-needed tax reforms, and pursuing common-sense immigration policies,” said Stephen E. Sandherr, the association’s chief executive officer. “As the first female combat fighter pilot and first woman to command a fighter squadron in combat, Martha McSally has proven that she will stand up and fight for what is right when it comes to protecting our economy, our workers and our country.”

In addition to endorsing Rep. McSally, AGC PAC has contributed the maximum amount of $10,000 to her Senate campaign. AGC PAC is also encouraging the association’s members in Arizona to help turn out the construction vote in support of the congresswoman in the August 28th Republican primary election and again on November 6th in the general election.

“Martha McSally has fought to protect workers and employers from the dozens of municipal and state governments that want to discriminate against them for working on the border wall,” said David Martin, president of the AGC Arizona Chapter. “She has worked side-by-side with us on important issues including workforce development, infrastructure investment, veterans’ affairs, economic growth, ending red tape, and limiting bureaucracy. Martha is for us,” added Tom Dunn, president of the Arizona Builders Alliance.

AGC is the leading association for the construction industry, with hundreds of member companies in Arizona, representing general and specialty contractors, service providers, and suppliers. This endorsement comes from AGC PAC, the national association’s political action committee.

AGC PAC Endorses Rick Scott for US Senate

Posted on Latest News by Al G · July 26, 2018 5:10 PM

The Associated General Contractors of America Political Action Committee, also known as the AGC PAC, announced today that it has endorsed Rick Scott for the United States Senate. AGC PAC officials said they are supporting the governor's campaign because of his pro-growth economic record.
“Congress needs serious leaders who will work hard to find solutions to our nation’s most pressing issues,” said Stephen E. Sandherr, treasurer of AGC PAC. “Governor Scott has a proven track record of lowering taxes and removing regulatory burdens to help create jobs, encourage innovation, and promote economic growth. His experience as a businessman and public servant will make him an effective voice for the construction industry in the United States Senate.”
In addition to endorsing Gov. Scott, AGC PAC has contributed the maximum amount of $10,000 to his Senate campaign. AGC PAC is encouraging Florida AGC members to help turn out the construction vote in support of the governor on November 6.
“Governor Scott has worked tirelessly for Floridians. The governor will take his experience to Washington where he will proactively address challenges faced by contractors and work hard to identify ways to invest in infrastructure and workforce development," said Michelle Anaya Depotter, AGC Florida East Coast Chapter CEO. "The governor played an integral role in Florida’s economic recovery after the Great Recession. The work ethic and business acumen that helped him guide our state will serve him well as our next senator,” added Carlos Carrillo, executive director of the AGC South Florida Chapter.
AGC is the leading association for the construction industry, with hundreds of member companies in Florida, representing general and specialty contractors, service providers, and suppliers. This endorsement comes from AGC PAC, the national association’s political action committee.
