AGC at GSA’s Reverse Industry Day

AGC and member companies, Clark Construction, Hensel Phelps, and Parsons Corp. spoke to GSA’s regional and national directors from the Office of Project Delivery and Regional Design & Construction.

AGC partnered with General Service Administration (GSA) Headquarters to bring the construction industry’s prospective leaders directly to the federal agency on a national level. AGC and member companies, Clark Construction, Hensel Phelps, and Parsons Corp. spoke to GSA’s regional and national directors from the Office of Project Delivery and Regional Design & Construction. Jennifer Groman, Assistant Commissioner for Project Delivery at General Services Administration's Public Buildings Service, discussed the importance of collaboration and communication with the construction industry.

AGC members explained the importance of early communication by GSA, gave insight on the type of information that industry seeks in order to qualify for an opportunity, and the value associated with certain types of GSA engagements (e.g. RFIs, one-on-ones, industry days). AGC members spoke about how different factors might influence the decision towards either bidding or not bidding (e.g., costs of competition, risks, acquisition strategy, past acquisition practices of customer, competitive analysis, etc.). AGC frequently engages in training sessions with federal agencies and remains fully dedicated to continuing to educate those in the federal government on the construction process.
