Wage Theft Laws Impacting Construction

Join AGC for a webinar reviewing trends and impacts of state and local wage theft laws on construction employers that will include the release of a much-needed, user-friendly chart of those laws.

Wage theft – a broad term referring to various ways by which employers fail to pay employees their full compensation – is a growing concern and reportedly a bigger problem in construction than in any other industry. Many state and local governments have adopted wage theft laws that give workers new ways to recover unpaid wages, impose on employers’ new compliance obligations and liabilities, and increase the penalties for violations.

In this webinar, employment attorneys Julie Reddig and Nicole Behrman of the law firm Lerch, Early & Brewer will review the trends in those laws and explore best practices for compliance. The webinar is provided in conjunction with AGC’s release of a much-needed, user-friendly chart of state and local law wage theft laws for members.
