The Small Business Administration (SBA) has issued an interim final rule that adjusts size standards to inflation that will impact many small and “other than small” construction firms. For many direct and in-direct contractors the size standards are increased from $39.5 million to $45 million (See page 4). Size standards are based on the average revenue of a contractor over a period of five-years. The changes are effective starting December 19, but interested parties are welcome to comment by January 17. SBA recommends government contractors update their representations and certification in the System for Award Management (SAM).
