Leaders of federal construction agencies joined hundreds of AGC direct federal contractors to discuss the latest projects and challenges in the field.
Hundreds of AGC direct federal construction contractors descended on Washington, D.C., on June 12-14 to meet with major federal construction agencies and members of Congress at the AGC’s Federal Contactors Conference. Representatives from the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Naval Facilities Engineering Command, General Services Administration, Small Business Administration, Department of Veterans Affairs, Department of State’s Bureau of Overseas Buildings Operations, Natural Resources Conservation Service, U.S. Bureau of Reclamation, and Air Force Civil Engineer Center participated, with several agencies making significant announcements about their respective programs.
Among the discussions included challenges surrounding construction material price inflations and supply chain disruptions, the upcoming regulation mandating Project Labor Agreements, upcoming projects, and ways the industry and federal agencies can work together to meet the challenges and deliver projects in a safe and efficient manner.
In the coming days, all presentations and other information from the conference will be made available to the attendees of AGC’s Federal Contractors Conference. Be sure to join us next year in Washington, D.C. on June 10-12, 2024.
