Hears from Leaders of Key Congressional Committees on Infrastructure Funding

On May 21, the AGC co-chaired Transportation Construction Coalition (TCC) held a Virtual Washington Briefing in lieu of the previously planned fly-in. In the meeting, participants heard from Senate Environment and Public Works Committee Chairman John Barrasso (R-Wyo.) and Ranking Member Tom Carper (D-Del.), as well as House Transportation and Infrastructure Committee Chairman Peter DeFazio (D-Ore.) and Ranking Member Sam Graves (R-Mo.). The leaders spoke about their priorities and the current state of play of highway infrastructure, including the prospects of surface transportation reauthorization and relief funding for state departments of transportation (DOTs). In addition, the TCC urged members to contact their members of Congress through the Hardhats for Highways Campaign.
